CAL-MAT Wildfire Medical Support Mission

The mission is for CAL-MATs to provide primary medical care at base camps for major wildfires, treating the assorted ailments common to firefighters during wildfire suppression activities: lacerations, poison oak, snake bites, smoke inhalation, minor burns, etc. In addition, CAL-MATs will provide enhanced initial response for severely injured patients before and during evacuation.
